Blessed Christmas!

This picture was taken at Day 9 - Las Vegas. If i remember correctly, it was taken at Caesar's Palace. How timely for the picture to be loaded on my blog. It's Christmas Eve everyone... Have a great one. I just spoke to AJ - the other sister that is in New York right now! She mentioned that New York is like "pasar malam" in the sense that there people everywhere! But it is obviously beautiful.
Have a BLESSED CHRISTMAS everyone! Spend it with someone you love...

Day 7 & 8 - Fantasy World

The irritating thing when you ask a bypasser to take pictures for you, somehow or rather things get cuts off! This is a classis example.Ai Jet was screaming:" I wanna take picture with that white lady!" Her name is Marilyn Monroe my dear sister. A total different generation i guess. :)And yes, the famous Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives. Kokor and Mummy with the famous Cheeros. I absolutely love them. They are Spanish donuts and slightly different from the ones we have in Vic Mac here in Melbourne. Instead of icing sugar, they have lay a generous layer of cinnamon. Yum!
DISNEYLAND! Kor kor and Daddy in the queue getting tickers. They must be sharing some laughs about MeToy.
Someone told me that this is the famous castle that you absolutely have to take a picture of - to show that you are in Disney. It was boring, i reckon if i were a kid i would loved it. Thank God the fireworks was awesome. It was very emotional because christmas music was playing and it ended with snow falling everywhere.

Day 6

Mummy, Daddy and May are right at this moment on the way to LA Airport for their flight back to Malaysia and AJ is obviously on her way to San Francisco and then for her flight to New York a week later. And me, i'm at my lovely desk at 405 Canterburry Road - working. :)

This was a picture taken on Day 6 as we arrived at Los Angeles and were greeted with a limo.

This is us in the limo. Ah Khuan Kokor said that because there was 5 of us and we couldn't fit into a cab, thus she ordered a limo instead! The funniest thing was as we were driving along Rodeo Drive, everyone was starring at this tinted humongous vehicle on the road and there was some point that we had to leave the limo. It was embarassing! Everyone was ready with their cameras, expecting Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie or someone to step out. But, plain old Pei Jet did :)

Yes, the famous Hollywood sign. Ai Jet could be one of 'em!

Yup... Yup...

Right outside the Kodak Theatre where the Academy Awards are held every year.

Day 5

And again how can i thank Uncle Bill and Ah Khuan Kokor enough for the generosity and hospitality that both of you have shown to us! You made the trip all the more fun and real.

Scones that we baked by Uncle Bill. In fact he prepared a scrumptious breakfast for us every morning! Ahhhh :)

Daddy in his PJs! Yes, all of us enjoying our lunch. There's not much pictures of what we did for Day 5 in the afternoon simply because we went Warehouse Shopping!

To treat ourselves after a full day of shopping, we went to SantanaRo for dinner. I simply can't remember the name of the restaurant that we went to, but it was a greek-mediterranean restaurant that i'm sure mummy would have written all the details down in her mini diary. (i reckon she would have kept the serviette too!) I loved the place because of its ambience simply because there was a tree right in the middle of the restaurant which you will see in the next picture. Adding to that, i think that food in USA are relatively cheaperas compared to AUS. A huge main that we had in this restaurant costs about USD20-25. And SantanaRo is considered one of the "higher class" places.

Day 5

I'm officially back from my dream :) It was fantastic. As i approached home @ Carlton, it felt as if i was gone for a very long time when in fact it was only 11 days! Weird. Anyone care to explain? As promised more pictures here... And when my head is not spinning around from the time difference, i will write more about my experience. But for now, you can just be satisfied with the pictures and hopefully they'll be able to paint an experience that was valuable to me!

Day 5 - May on the bus as we head towards downtown San FranciscoAJ and MJ strolling in San Fran

The beauty of San Francisco is that you get artists and musicians all over showcasting their talents.

And obviously, to end my post with a family photo against Painted Ladies at the Alamo Square. Some of you might find this place familiar. Remember the Olsen twins in Full House? :)

Day 4

Life is full of surprises. But entirely fair. Ai Jet is confirmed now that she will spend 10 days in New York City! She will experience a white christmas at 5th Avenue. Well, probably not 5th Avenue but yeah... sort of. As for me, i will be basking in the summer, 40 degrees rays of Australia. Still, i thank God for here, right now, this very moment. :)

We're around the table having apple crepes and left overs from yesterday night's dinner which obviously the portion were massive. Yesterday was a day of nature and hunting at the Yosemite National Park, and today is urban life. We will be heading out to the city. San Francisco here I come!
I would also like to dedicate this paragraph to someone :) The first thing that came into my mind was you! One of his original pictures which has his signature on it and i think there's only 5 in the world - it costs a whopping USD25,000! In my attempt to be a better photographer, i bought some postcards and a book of his stories and lifeworks.
And to all the Chuah Family, wishing that each and everyone of you are here!

About to head out now. I will talk more.

The Academy of Art. Beautiful! Posted by Picasa

A vineyard at Napa Valley. Did you guys know that California is one of the 50 states of America but it has a population of 20 million people? More than Australia - the nation in total! Posted by Picasa

Sausalito - a very high class place near the Golden Gate.  Posted by Picasa

With the beloved family! Posted by Picasa

Day 2 - Golden Gate Bridge. Absolutely breathtaking :) My dream is to actually attempt a bike ride. Posted by Picasa

USA Day 1

7:22am Greetings from the US of A, the state of California, the city of Los Angeles.
7:45am In line at customs. The queue is patiently long. Too long to my liking. And i saw my first "Big Moma" It was cool.
8:30am Still in line. People here are quiet. They read or listen to their ipods while waiting.
8:45am Woo Hoo! Officially in the Los Angeles airport. Instead of heading off to Terminal 4 to check in for my connecting flight to San Fran, i just had to take a step out and inhale a gasp of fresh air. - U.S. air. (it honestly smells different. I absolutely love the smell... some memories of this scent was when Ah Khuan Kokor brought some gifts back from the States)
9:00am Sits at Gate 47B awaiting my connnecting flight holding my mango frappucino from Starbucks which by the way is spread out all over!
12:30pm I was greeted at the arrival hall in San Fran by Uncle Bill with a bouquet of flowers. How sweet eh? :)
2:00pm Went to In & Out Burgers with Kokor and uncle Bill which are the BEST that i have ever tasted. With a mere $1.79, the beefburger was to die for! The bread is actually "crunchy and freshly baked" Every ingredient are made fresh on the premises. I even saw them peel and sliced up the potatoes for fries.
3:00pm Picked up the rented car as Kokor left for work. Uncle Bil said that i was slowly fading away. Yes indeed. No sleep for 24 hours... Fading away is the word.
5:30pm After passing out for 2 hours, went back again to San Fran International Airport and picked up the rest of the gang!
I will definitely tell you more. Tomorrow we're heading off to Napa Valley. I just realised that we live really close to Mac and Google headquarters. (It is totally unbelievable)
