Yes... I constantly do apologize for disappearing and reappearing again. Just my habit.
There's something that I have to say. I am terribly upset and disappointed by what happened yesterday morning at 0303 (EST). The nation of Australia came to a halt as we waited anxiously on the decision by Spanish referee Luis Medina Cantalejo. The controversial call ended Australia's dream... It's not just a game, I told someone... It's a dream.
13,000 Melbourne gathered at Federation Square and were silenced at the last 30 seconds of the match as Italy's Totti blasted home the penalty after defender Fabio Grosso had tumbled over Lucas Neill's challenge. Everyone was in disbelief! Some even cried and showed acts of violence. It was definitely an experience/ memory that i'll remember for a very long time to come.
However, one thing i learnt; the amazing passion for a certain something could caused people to be in total disarray after not receiving their expectations, hopes and dreams. How awesome whould it be, if this same passion would be channeled into something else! When i look around at all the faces of shocked and disbelief and later disappointment, i can't help but say a short little prayer. "God, these people need you." Just my one cent's worth.
Well enough of soccer... I now divert my attention in a few days' time to week No. 2 of Wimbledon!
