Blogs?
Was just talking to someone the other day... Ever thought that blogging would one day take over all forms of "catching up"? Personally, i don't really email my friends that much anymore or even pick up the phone and go through dialing your pin number, the international code which are in total about 30 numbers! and just knowing after that 2 mins or so, your friend or family is not at home or the line is engaged or you get this operator speaking in Korean or Hindu. Well you can't help but slam the receiver eh? That happens to me... GUILTY. So if any of you guys realised, my dad reads my blog and he leaves comments too! How cool is that? (Pa, when you read this, i would love to hear your comment!) :) But obviously i do the occasional once per week call home. TECHNOLOGY (you either love them or hate them) Boo-yah!

You are beautiful
Yesterday marked the first ever woman's ministry at Planetshakers City Church, Melbourne - Beautiful Woman. Set in the Exhibition Centre opposite Crown Casino, the setting was dream-like. It was as if all of us females were transported to the Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty era where chilvary exist! NOT! That wasn't the whole point of Beautiful Woman... It has nothing to do with chilvary or how others treat us females. But rather what God thought of us... individually.
First of, about 500 of us were served with thirst quencheing Shirley Temples, and this Kiwi-fizzy drink. The place was litted up with hundreds of candles in all sorts of vase (whatever you call them) and the IKEA candle holders... Didn't know that an ordinary foyer could be transformed to a gorgeous hall just with some candles! But obviously what was most captivating about the place was the women that were there.
We were ushered to the theatre where the actual program would commence. The stage was decorated again with candles on both side and in the centre were 2 sofas - in fact it's just like those in Oprah! hah! The video of Beautiful Woman was shown again and when the picture of Holly with her ocean blue eyes and henry-like curly hair appeared, everyone just went "wooo".
We had words spoken into our lives even when we were born. Awww look at that baby, she's sooo cute! My gosh, what eyes! etc. That was Pastor Sam's opening statement. True enough, us females, have insecurities that the male species can never understand. We rely too much on what others think about us, we find acceptance and comfort when people compliment us on our dressing, our make up, our character. But the Almighty God finds no flaw in us! It says, you are fearfully and wonderfully made! There and soo many promises in the bible... We have to learn to not rely on opinions of people. We gotta hide His words in our heart...
Like this song by Paul Colman... This is what he says about this song: I wrote 'Girl With The Crooked Mirror' for my sister. She is a really pretty girl, but she thinks she's ugly. I’ve yet to meet a woman who thinks she is beautiful because God thinks they’re beautiful. She used to be one of those who looks in the mirror and sees this ugly witch. We just kept going, “What’s wrong with you? You’re beautiful!” So I wrote that song for her for her 30th birthday. I put it on a CD for her and picked this really nice photo of her from when she was 19. My wife and I went and gave it to her and she was like, “What did you choose that picture for?”
Each of us left with a bunch of pressies... which i will post a picture of it later on... Basically, all of us felt treasured, honoured and precious in the sight of God! Thank you to Planetshakers City Church especially Pastor Sam for stirring up and breakingthrough for all of us!

PAYCHECK
When i'm here in Australia, i always introduce myself as "Pei Jet" but somehow they never get it... I have come across names like Paiget, Piaget, Peijit... U name it, the list is loooong. After being so fed up with always having to spell my name, i just tell them exactly how i do like a thousand times: You know the "paycheck" that you get every month?" and they're lips will twitch slightly and their eyes somehow twinkle when i mention that word. (or am i imagining things?)
Well this word does not mean much to me then... But now, when someone says that "P" word, my heart skips a beat! And in fact i can almost say that my heart stopped for a good 5 seconds when my boss handed me my first ever AUSSIE dollar paycheck! After she left, i was still starring at it... all the money for just 1 week's worth of work!! It's sooo easy! Well, i know that it's not easy as you go higher and expectations are placed on you and responsibilities are thrown at you... But now as i'm just a junior/trainee, it's easy. Point is: LIFE'S GOOD! (with LG) haha!

Honesty the best policy
Remember what i said about standing up for my beliefs and principles? Yeah.. and that's exactly what I did today... and God has blessed me termendously... He honours me back. Though it's not the ultimate blessing yet (as i'm still patiently waiting), but i can see it slowly unfolding in front of m eyes. And the amazing thing is that my boss respected me and now he sees me in a different light! How cool is that?

Above reporoach
1 Tim 3:2 - Now a person must give NO grounds for accusation but must be ABOVE REPROACH, the husband of one wife, circumspect and temperate and self-controlled; he must be sensible and well behaved and dignified and lead an orderly (disciplined) like; he must be hospitable (showing love for and being a friend to the believers, especially strangers or foreigners, and be) a capable and qualified teacher, etc etc....
Read the rest yourself...
Main point: A person must give NO GROUNDS FOR ACCUSATION but must be ABOVE REPROACH. It means, so good as to preclude any possibility of criticism.
I have been placed again in that situation where i have to stand up for my beliefs. I'm worries that i would dissapoint some people again. I don't care what people will think of me, but there's just that someone that i do not want to dissapoint again. But this verse, really spoke to me... Not to give even a foothold for the enemy to step in... Like what Pastor Rob said, it's the little things that come in... I thank God that the Holy Spirit has convicted me. It is hard to let go... but it's the little things...
Beyond reproach, no criticism, the little things...

L-O-V-E
You know what? i find that children have the BEST definition of what L-O-V-E is. They are just like God in many ways. Unlike us adults who have been " of this world", it's as if they are "in this world" but "not of this world". Get what i mean? So prepare yourself for one of the most God-like definitions...
When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love. Rebecca - age 8
Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK. Danny - age 7
Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen. Bobby - age 7 (WOW!)
Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford. Chris - age 7
If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate. Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more of Nikka's on this planet)
Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well. Tommy - age 6
The best one is this:
A four-year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife, upong seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry"
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. God - age eternal.
Really, really treasure and express your love and God's love to the people around you before it's too late. I'm doing it.

The Devil's Chat Room
Today I'm gonna blog on something that I am constantly struggling with and i believe everyone is too. Was reminded today once again the power of this weapon.
James 3:5 --> Even so the the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things.
James 3:8 --> But the human tongue can be tamed by no man. It is a restless (undisciplined, irreconcilable) evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:10 --> Out of the same mouth come forth blessing and cursing.
In fact many times, my tongue has outrun my brain. STUPID rite! I just regret the things that have come out from my mouth. Geee... I heard someone said before that he often regrets of what he says but NEVER his silence. Wow! I wonder why we say the things we say.
3 facts on criticism
1) CRITICISM DISCREDITS THE CRITIQUE.
- We will always be discredited when we critics others. Basically it cheapens you!
2) CRITICISM IS MARRIED TO PRIDE.
- Could it be because we wanna put the other person down and to elevate ourselves? So many times we say something to put down the other person, in hopes that others will see the "better" in us. For example:" he's so disorganized, he's always late." So what you're saying is that:" I'm really organized, I have all my life in order, I'm never late!" right? We're entertaining the spirit of diablos (which means slander).
3) CRITISM EXPOSES AN UNDISCIPLINED CHRISTIAN
- the last fruit of the spirit is self-control. i.e. Controlling my tongue!
We always enter "The Devil's Chat Room" consciously or unconsciously. Most of the time consciously. So many times, we could just turn away and walk away or refuse to have any part in the conversation. But it is too tempting to listen and be a part of these conversation. We can control everything in our body EXCEPT the tongue, that flapping, slamming, pink membrane that gives us more trouble than any part of our body!
We have judged people even we have never meet them, We have spoken about people even without having a conversation with them, we have assumed wrongly about other people even before having a meal with them. Criticism is the root of all divorce, root of all breakups, root of all church splits. It has nothing to do with them but it's your heart. God wants you to break that spirit of criticism, and negativity. You need to be free of that.
Ephesians 4:29 --> Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk ever come out of your mouth, but only speech as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace to those who hear it.
And for some of you, somebody might have spoken words to you that have hurt you, cut you or destroy you. There's a wound in you... You might ask. why do they do that? There's no explanation. They're always gonna do stuff like that. I would encourage you to forgive them. Forgive those who spoke death over you. You need to release it or else you won't be able to move on in the destiny that God has for you.
We need to change our words. We need to speak LIFE. There's POWER in your words.

Break of Day

Actually i just found out about posting pictures on your blog with HELLO... that's why i'm doing all these... About this picture, i had no idea that HOT AIR BALOONS were soo near my window everyday in the morning at 6:30am! Just couldn't resist it! One of the rare days that i'm awake at that hour... :)
Break of Day,
Your light it shines on me

Schedules...
Just thought i let you guys into my life tonite :)
3pm - Went to Box Hill to do some reconciliations of the merchandise
5:50 pm - Made some phone calls and updated the database! We're pass 200! Hooray!
7:15pm - Rushed to Kew for discipleship which was as always, AWESOME...
10:05pm - Catched the 10:05pm tram back into the city and suddenly had cravings of KFC. But due to its unpopular demand as compared to Chinatown's food, I had to forego KFC and eat Char Keuy Teow.
11:45pm - Walked E home with W. And walked all the way home! Had great fun getting to know W though. Thank God it's a pretty warm nite!
12:05am - Cleaned the kitchen and my messy table. Non-student life has caused my table to be soo messy... full of unwanted papers and plastic bags and gadgets. U name it, it's there!
2:30am - Checked mail, surf CNN, check the weather, chat on MSN with someone who's insanely crazy about Miriam Yeung!
3:18am - And now - BLOGGING
