undignified?

This picture was taken after our PLANET UNI dinner at Arrow Heights when we were walking back in the cold Melbourne winter... This picture totally rocked me up! Hahaha... It's not only the picture that you see but the fact that there was a lady in her car in the dark just right in front of the posters when this 4 "undignified" ladies posed for this awesome shot!

When they found out, the lady in the car was laughing her head off....

And so were we!

Freedom

Just watched Madagascar... Not too bad but obviously the animation was no where near Finding Nemo, Shrek or even The Incredibles! But as always Dreamworks never fails to instill some morale sense into each blockbuster hit. In this case, it was slightly a wee bit special. It talked about something that many of us do not even know that we're missing out! Just like Alex - the lion. He loved his Central Park Zoo immensely that he did not live the life that he was meant to live! i.e. out in the freedom. How tragic... Ring a bell? Sounds familiar? Well, i reckon we don't even know it ourselves, considering that we never experience "the wild" before.

I do not deny that it's the unknown and fearful but that was how life was meant to be when God created each and everyone of us. After so many years of being sheltered, living in a box, we loose the tenacity and intensity of living life; the great adventure. Unlike Marty-our mono-chromatic friend who longs and even yearns for freedom would do anything just to have a taste, a glimpse of what it would be like to be FREE. He would even board a train to Connecticut... How hilarious...
How many of us are willing to go to all extent to live the life that we were meant to live? Eventhough we'll be made fun of, rediculed...
I would. At least I'll try....

wireless

My dad just installed a wireless reuter in our home back in Ipoh... The small little town with a population of i dunno what... How cool!! Apparently i was told by my sis that our house is just like an office now. With my aunt and uncle to be (welcome to the family!) working... www.metoy.blogspot.com
Well everyone's really hoping the best for grandma...

All Things New

Break of day, it's your light that brings forth hope... a hope of the unknown... But yet there's a glimmer...

To witness the beauty of your creation... as the sun rises...

a new beginning...

To witness the crashing ocean... as the waves hits the rocks...

a new beginning

AGAIN... ALL THINGS NEW...

You made all things new

One Author...

This gives me great comfort...
All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must also be translated; God employs several translators: some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice; but God's hand is in every translation; and his hand shall bind up all out scattered leaves again, for that library where every book shall lie open to one another.
- John Danne

I Can Only Imagine

A certain loved one of mine is terribly ill... in immense pain and it breaks my heart. But even more so, it breaks my heart that she has not received the greatest gift of all... The love gift that He has given freely. I wished I could sing these lines:
You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times, I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why i cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you
In Christ there are no goodbye
And in Christ there are no end
So I'll hold on to Jesus with all that I am
To see you again,
To see you again...
- Homesick by Mercy Me
For me right now, I can just hope and pray and believe. For however long, it's my heart's cry to sing this song. It's hard that I can't be there...

Since i have nothing much to do right now... (it's my 3rd blog now) Thought i just blog on my birthday... It was celebrated in a span of 3 days, 3 very, very memorable days. And thanks to all my friends who have so lovingly, carefully and generously laboured and planned the whole thing.
Saturday 2 July
Sue Lynn and i went out for brekkie, and we just went around Melbourne taking heaps of pictures and obviously shopping was part of it too:) And that's where i got the pictures that i have previously posted.
She kept on saying " oh it's your day, we can go anywhere you want!" hah!
Anyway, i got her to go on a roller coaster ride with me! Which she was freaking out!!! It was funny to watch her... Just absolutely HILARIOUS!
Then we went back home... and there was this surprised waiting for me back home... because i was told that we're going to go our for dinner... but about 10 of my very close friends were all at home, dressed up, with make up and geled hair... Our living room was transformed into a restaurant! With table covered with white table cloths, sparkling cutleries lined up, silver balloons everywhere, a huge bouquet of flowers right in the middle and candles everywhere... In the background, Michael Buble was singing the melodious quandro, quandro, quandro.
We had a beautiful night at home... The food was great! I ate 6 oysters! In fact in passing i jsut mentioned to Sue Anne that all i want for my birthday is just to have a night at home... quiet and sweet... Nice! How sweet of them to be soo detailed!
Lastly, i just have to mention this, they got me durian for dessert~!!!! Wippppeeee!!! And a gorgeous 100% leather bag which can fit a A4-folder ;)
Sunday 3 July
Another bunch of close friends too... To keep it short, we actually have prayer meet at 6:30am and i was soo tired that i actually said that " you guys go ahead, i'm going to pray in my bed"! hahaha! Anyway, they were very persistent, and so i went still in my jammys, brushed teeth, uncomed hair (i just slip a clip on... thinking that it would do the trick, but obviously not...) then after a really great time of prayer - really, really glad i went, we went out for brekkie... i just told me sorry, i can't join you guys, i wanna go sleep...
Well, peer pressure's the word. I was forced into going... anyway, then it was the surprised... kekeke... yes guys, at last i got my very own Brunetti's plaque!!! And the iM3 came... Yes! At last... again i was in awe... as i always am... when i'm in awe, i'm just quiet. Trying to take everything in slowly... Bit by bit.
Monday 4 July
The actual big day. Honestly, i was a bit upset when i did not see any sms in my mobile when i woke up. But oh well... It was until later on in the day that i realised that my mailbox was soo full that other sms-es couldn't come through! As i was deleting them one by one, then my mobile started to ring and ring and ring... Wow! Just soo touched! Went for work, and was surprised by my two colleagues who gave me a present.. so sweet of them... and it was work and work... and Jo and i went and catch Batman Begins... and it was mignight... And it's over... 22 years on this planet. A pretty long time... But a very well-used one i reckon. It's just amazing to see the people that you have impacted during the course of your life... And i'm forever grateful to God for trusting me for putting them in my hands.
p/s All the pictures of me were pretty messy because i was in my jammys and i just cam back from the sea! hah!

Sunny... sunny...

Just for all ya'll information, i won't be blogging for the next four days because i'm not going to have any access to any internet connection. Well at least i'll try to restrain myself. Hah... Yes guys, i'm going for a holiday before i start studying cum working. I'm headed to the sunny, Gold Coast tomorrow morning! Wipeee! The amazing thing was that i got a really good bargain at Holiday Inn for 75% off the normal rates! And yes, i'm pampering myself... Initially it was supposed to be at YHA or backpackers, but hey just to pay a few bucks more, i get a 5-star hotel! You gotta be kidding to turn it down. (Thanks to my pastor who told me bout this website)

Anyway, probably will just brief ya'll with my itinery... Just for fun...
Day 1:
  • Flying off at 6:55am (kiasu, wanted to have as much time at Gold Coast as possible, but then realised that i had to wake up at 4:30am! but the flights are cheaper anyway)
  • Check in and head for Cavill Avenue!

Day 2:

  • Movieworld!
  • Dinner with cousin apparently we're having seafood buffet... oooo

Day 3:

  • Palazzo Versace
  • Sunday Market

Day 4:

  • Beach...

As all of you can see, we literally left it all blank! It's just not me to plan out the entire trip... Spontaniety is crucial... Excitement and adventure... Adrenalin rush is everything!

p/s1 Going to take heaps of beautiful pictures!

p/s2 If i have time tonite, i might just blog about the stuff that i'm bringing with me eh? :)

Toss Up

Yes... everyone, i have finally made the decision... I'm hitting the books again! Phew... after a mere 6 months holidays, I'm back! Bigger, stronger and wiser! (i hope) And this time it cost me a whopping AUD$1,000+!! But i reckon, it's nothing compared to the $16K that my dad was paying eh? All these in the name of education... Balileau Library, see ya soon...

To education!

Last movie watched: Batman Begins
Last song listened to: Rueben Morgan's preaching on With All I Am

p/s by the way i listened to that on my new iM3 Altec Lansing which my friends soo lovingly bought for me for my birthday pressie.
